5月23日15：00-18：00，阿联酋沙迦美国大学Suheil Khoury教授、芬兰阿尔托大学Antti Rasila教授和湖南师范大学王仙桃教授一行应邀来我系讲学。他们为数学与计算科学系和计算机科学系部分师生作了三场全英文的特邀学术报告，报告会在数学楼312室举行。报告会由系副主任李龙博士主持。

Suheil Khoury教授作了题为“Stokes Flow in Contiguous Regions”的报告，他首先向大家简单介绍了American University of Sharjah，接着介绍了Navier Stokes equations，并转化成双调和方程，引出了调和映射理论在实际问题中的作用。Suheil Khoury教授的报告让与会教师充分认识到调和映射理论的重要性。

Antti Rasila教授作了题为“Quasihyperbolic Geometry in Euclidean and Banach Spaces”的报告，他首先介绍了拟双曲几何的性质，特别是带拟双曲度量的Banach空间的球和测地线的性质，包括测地线的存在性、光滑性和拟双曲球等。

王仙桃教授作了题为“Gromov Hyperbolicity”的报告，他通过一个公开问题引出了Gromov双曲的概念，通过例子深入浅出地讲解了Gromov双曲的相关定义。王教授的报告幽默风趣，引人入胜，与会教师受益匪浅。

与会教师和专家学者进行了深入的学术交流和探讨，学习和了解了相关的前沿研究动态，同时各自的研究工作得到了专家的指导，并且与专家们建立了良好的联系，到会教师受益匪浅。

Suheil Khoury教授简介：Professor Suheil A. Khoury received his master degree from Stanford University (USA) in 1985 and received his Ph. D. degree from Michigan State University (USA) in 1994. He worked in many universities, such as Michigan State University, University of Houston (USA), Amman University (Amman - Jordan). Now he is working as a full professor in American University of Sharjah (UAE). Prof. Khoury visited many universities and institutes in USA, China, Greece, Turkey, Malaysia, Thailand, Morocco, Ukraine, and he made an academic report in many international conferences. He presided over 7 “AUS Professional Development Grant” of UAE. His research interest concerns with boundary-Value Problems, Mathematical Fluid Dynamics, Computational Mathematics, Numerical Mathematics. More than seventy papers were published in international recognized journals such as ,《SIAM J. Appl. Math.》，《Chaos Soliton Fract.》,《Nonlinear Anal.Real Word》,《J. Comput. Phys.》, 《J. Math. Anal. Appl.》, 《Inter. J. Numer. Methods Appl. 》, 《 J. Comput. Math.》and so on. Prof. Khoury is also the Reviewer for Mathematical Reviews and Zentralblatt Math. He received “Teaching Award” of Michigan State University in 1992 and “Shoman Prize in Mathematics” in 1998. He was honored by the Chancellor as “Top teacher at AUS” of American University of Sharjah in 2011 and 2013.

Antti Rasila教授简介：Professor Antti Rasila received his Ph. D degree from University of Helsinki (Finland) in 2005. Now he is a tutor of doctoral students at Aalto University (Finland) and he is also a Xiaoxiang scholar chair lecture professor at Hunan normal university (China). He visited many universities and institutes in USA, China, India, Romania and so on. His research interest concerns with Geometric function theory, elliptic PDEs, computer aided mathematics, e-learning in mathematics. More than forty papers were published in international recognized journals such as《SIAM J. Sci. Comput.》,《Math. Z.》, 《Israel J. Math.》,《Ann. Acad. Sci. Fenn-M.》.

王仙桃教授简介：Professor Xiantao Wang received his Ph. D. degree from Hunan University in 1997. Then he was a postdoctoral researcher at Wuhan University from 1997 to 1999. He became a professor at the Hunan university in 2002, and became a tutor of doctoral students in 2003. From 2002 to now, he has been working in Hunan Normal University. From 1999 to 2013, Prof. Wang presided over 6 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. In 2004, he won the Ministry of education program for New Century Excellent Talents and the outstanding youth fund of Hunan Province. In 2012, he was named the second rank professor of Hunan Province. His research interest concerns with Kleinian groups, quasi-conformal mappings and harmonic mappings. More than eighty papers were published in international recognized journals.
